For my disaster I chose The Dust Storms of the 1930's. One of my causes is that in a dust storm particals of dirt are carried by the wind. The effect to that cause is that people can be blinded and choked by the dust in the air. My last cause and effect is when the drought and dust storm happened it caused farmers to leave because they could not farm.

Dust Storm
The cause was a severe drought that dried the soil. The effect was that many people were blinded and choked.

I have decided to write about 1 of the storms and I picked Hurricane Charley. The cause of all the damage was because it was so bad it was a category 4 storm! There were many bad effects like roofs blew off houses, collapsed walls, shattered windows no electricity, and no running water.

Actually, I think that the storms are rated kind of 1 not so bad and 5 the worse. We should ask Mrs.Cooper about that!

Just like the book said that the storms are rated 1-5 look on page#12 I thought that it is also rated on the wind speeds.

I loved the article about Hurricane Charley!! The effect when it came was roofs were blown off homes, walls were collapsed, and windows were shattered. The cause of these things were...
1) category 4 2)Winds as powerful as 155 miles per hour 3) Not predicting correctly. That's my cause and effect for Hurricane Charley.

I really like that you added more than one cause and effects, especially the last one. I think that is a very key factor in the storm.

I chose "The great white hurricane" to talk about. The eastern coast of the United States get many heavy snow and rain storms because it lies next to the ocean. The blizzard got worse and worse, and some people got stranded at work! It stopped Grand Central Station for a few days, so they built a subway station.

on page 12 "Hurricane Charley" was caused by really really strong winds and one of many effects is anyone living near water was forced to leave another effect was people living in their homes had to board up all the windows.

For my disaster I choose the Great White Hurricane. One of the effects is people got stuck at work. Another one that people had to dig there cars out of snow. What caused it is "a storm system moves across the water it picks up moisture and becomes stronger. If such a storm happens along with very cold temperatures the result is a huge snowstorm.

For my disaster I chose Hurricane Charley. One of the causes are for the damage, they had no time to prepare! So the effect is it can blow roofs off of houses and do alot of damage!

the storm i chose is the dust storm. the effect is that a dust storm happened. the cause is that there was little rain fall, so the soil became very dry and blew away in the high winds

There are many different types of disasters. If you ask me what type of weather storm is the worst I would say hurricanes. You may ask why? well because they have so much force and cause so much destruction.
To answer the question that we were assigned I chose hurricane Charley. Hurricane Charley hit Florida in 2004. Everyone thought that hurricane Charley would be a category 3 hurricane but it was not, hurricane Charley was a category 4 hurricane. Charley's winds were as high as 155 miles per hour. Charley caused great destruction.

On page 18 the author states that " During a dust storm, particles of dirt are carried by the wind, and sometimes the wind carries so much dust that people are blinded and choked by the whirling particles.'' The cause is the dust choking people and getting in peoples eyes and the effect is that people are choking and people could now be blind

I am do ing my report on the storm of.The great white hurricane of 1888.,ok so a cause and affect is if a storm system moves by an ocean it will most likely get stronger.Another one is if a storm has a rely cold temperature it will turn in to a huge snowstorm.so that is my answer to the weekly question.
